Tech Paper is committed to accurate, independent, and responsible science journalism. This page outlines the standards and practices that guide every article we publish.
Source Standards
Every article published on Tech Paper is based on research that meets at least one of the following criteria:
- Published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal
- Presented at a major scientific conference with published abstracts
- Released as a preprint with clear disclosure of its preliminary status
We always link to the original source. Readers can verify every claim we make.
Writing Standards
Accuracy first. We do not exaggerate findings. If a study shows a correlation, we say correlation — not causation. If results are preliminary, we say so clearly.
No sensationalism. Headlines reflect what the study actually found. We do not use clickbait language or overstate the significance of early-stage research.
Context matters. A single study rarely tells the whole story. Where relevant, we place findings in the broader context of existing research.
Corrections Policy
We correct errors promptly. If an article contains a factual error:
- Minor corrections are made silently with a note at the bottom of the article
- Significant corrections are prominently disclosed at the top of the article
- If an article is substantially wrong, it may be retracted with a full explanation

Sponsored Content
Sponsored articles are clearly labeled as “Sponsored Content” at the top of the page. They follow the same factual standards as editorial content but are produced in partnership with an external organization.
Sponsored content does not influence our independent editorial coverage.
Independence
Tech Paper has no financial relationship with any research institution, pharmaceutical company, or technology company that would influence our editorial decisions. Our coverage is driven entirely by the significance and quality of the science.
AI Assistance
Some articles on Tech Paper may be drafted with the assistance of AI writing tools. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and verified by our editorial team before publication. Final responsibility for accuracy rests with our human editors.
